Recently in february the 'Mobile World Congress' in Barcelona and 'NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge' (http://www.lbschallenge.com/) took place and AR apps played an important role there. On Geowanking there have been considerations about the influence of geoinformation technology and standards in AR technology and research (see e.g. threads about "1:1 scale mapping" and "AR viewfinders & 3D geodata").
Now I'm looking forward to AR DevCamp this monday in Zürich (Switzerland, http://bit.ly/ARDevZ) which seems to be the sixth event after the first come together in December 5, 2009 at the Hacker Dojo in Mountain View CA... I'm still quite unsure what the outcome of these discussion was, i.e. what do we neo- and paleogeographers, futuristst and thought leaders plan to do and to advise to the AR community? GeoRSS for POIs and CityGML for 3D??
