That's true, though it depends on the size of the balloon. You could
also hang it off a kite or R/C plane though again that's additional
cost/complexity.


Really though, for many gardening folks, an oblique handheld shotis
fine. It'll point out the areas in their garden that need help. It
doesn't necessarily have to be photogrammetric. A live view could come
in handy here. Just scan around your garden and see where it needs
help.
