Re Posttude addresses, I have known of this attempt several years ago. Too complicated to convert these into Lon/Lat which any phone with a GPS can report, without having to have an Internet connection.
A simple algorithm reading one's current Lon/Lat position can guide you (straight line) to any given other Lon/Lat address, without having to access the Internet.
