I am also _very_ interested in processed TIGER/VMap0 data for my
project. In the past I have played with subsets but never had time and
resources to do the 'full monty'.
I reckon it would be great to have a Wiki with how-to's, scripts etc.
One thing from my wish-list would be to get polygon geometries from
TIGER/Line. AFAIK ogr2ogr doesn't handle TIGER topology yet, but there
were some python scripts somewhere (??)
Anyway, great idea!
