I'm not sure why you think Where2.0 shunned this group. There were
people on this list there. At least I was...
At 581 people (well, there are some duplicates) I would think that
this list covers a pretty decent section of the where/web/locative
community.

Having seen this list grow, I almost expect some from the Google Maps
team to be lurking. It seems despite efforts to keep this list to
hackery ala MAKE it keeps getting more widespread acceptance.
Then again, Where 2.0 did do a pretty good job at shuning this group
as a whole, maybe Google isn't lurking.
