The antennas can make a huge difference, especially in urban areas where
multipath is problematic. You're in NYC, right?

One thing to consider is the time and cost of post-processing. You need
software and someone has to sit there, download the base station data,
and run it every time you collect points. With a DGPS unit you get your
accuracy when you collect the points and you don't have to fuss with it
later.

Again, knowing your budget and your accuracy needs would help out a ton
in giving you specific advice.
