Thanks for the information.

For the next few years I will hopefully be tied up during which I will do as you suggested, enroll in a development course and learn a langauge (learning spainish at the moment).

By the end of the contract I would have hopefully built up enough knowledge to appy for tech jobs at the organisations you suggested.
