When at NASA I had the same issues. I used an expensive tool called Socket Set to get a crappy ortho of some thermal imagery.

I could be wrong, but I think orthographic techniques require a bit closer to perpendicular than that. Does anyone know anything about mounting cameras on the bottom of a plane?
