I have a fleet of car points which don't quite sit on a roads basemap. What I'd like to do find the nearest road to each car point.
I thought I'd be able to do this with a query to my Geoserver WFS, but on reading the OGC Filter Encoding spec there doesn't seem to be a FindNearest operation.
I assume this is a fairly common requirement. What have others done to solve this problem?
