Has anyone come across some resources on uniformly distorted projections that they could share? What I am looking for is a way of representing the square kilometres of my 'hood in a more emphatic way than those of say, NYC (although the media would never portray it this way!). I want to map to such a grid whilst keep a sense of (distorted) scale and direction. Any geowanking leads or insights on this topic will be gratefully received.
