Awesome! Nice little writeup Stella - thanks :)

Anselm and I are just starting to plan for WhereCamp this year. We want
to lock in a venue that can facilitate the event as well as Yahoo did
last year. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on where we should host it
this year?

A few of the great things with yahoo IMHO (feel free to add your own)

- Nice mix of rooms and common areas. Different sized rooms as
well.

- Rooms were all pretty close to each other - makes for good
mixing between sessions

- Nice dinning hall right next to sessions

- Parking!

- Outdoor space

- Alcohol allowed on campus :)

I would assume a decent size increase from 07's event so the place
should be able to hold 250-300 comfortably.

If you are interested in helping plan or just want to get your .02 in,
please join the Yahoo group list so we don't spam this list:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wherecamp/

Let us know what you liked, what you didn't like, how we can improve it,
etc. The more feedback the better.

Thanks guys, Ryan

Subject: [Geowanking] Mini Article about WhereCamp 07

Hello all,

I wrote a mini article about this spring's WhereCamp in the new issue of
BAAMA Journal. BAAMA is the Bay Area Automated Mapping Association, a SF
Bay Area regional professional organization for GIS folks. You can
download the issue here:
http://www.baama.org/vlibrary/journal/BAAMA_JOURNAL_NOV_07.pdf

Enjoy!

Stella
