I think a big issue of using neighbourhoods is the fuzzy boundaries. They are 
more a concept than a defined geographic unit. I may consider something to be 
in one neighbourhood, when you consider it a different neighbourhood. Also, 
there are some areas of cities that aren't really in a neighbourhood.

street addresses people on Craigslist consider to be within certain 
neighborhoods.  One problem with, though, it is that Craigslist provides a 
certain list of neighborhood names and they aren't necessarily the same ones 
that people use in real life.
