It seems that accuracy is vastly improved with a higher density of cell towers (at least for the symbian cell only version). In Vancouver it's usually too far off to be useful, but in New York, it was actually accurate enough for me to use for basic navigation.

I also had three failed attempts to geolocate at locations 1 and 2. The time to locate is probably around 4-14 seconds. I haven't tried while driving!
