Hi Joe, Another option to consider is the SPOT Satellite Messenger. This could potentially take care of your coverage issues although I've had issues with messages getting lost in space. The SPOT has a tracking mode where you can tell it to send location coordinates every 10 minutes to an email address. We actually integrated it with our system and you can read about it here:
