Dear Colleagues, I have a group of FRESHMEN doing research for simulated negotiations on global POPs regulation, and they are having real trouble finding articles or books that describe the political issues surrounding the original Aarhus Convention on POPs and the subsequent Stockholm Convention. I'm afraid they've been insufficiently resourceful, but it's not an issue I know well enough yet and our own library book sources are terrible. I've had them look up work by Noelle Eckley and Henrik Selin on the subject, the brief case study in Global Environmental Politics, as well as archives of the negotiations in Earth Negotiations Bulletin, but these students still aren't getting enough traction on the issue. Can you please recommend a couple of the best sources (articles, book chapters, books, etc.) you know on the politics of POPs regulation?
I'll happily report back to the list-serve with the collected suggestions you can provide. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Best, Barbara Connolly Dept. of Political Science University of Notre Dame
