Assistant/Associate Professors of Environmental and Energy Policy
Department of Social Sciences

The Department of Social Sciences at Michigan Technological University seeks
to hire up to two colleagues to strengthen its interdisciplinary Masters and
Ph.D. programs in Environmental and Energy Policy.  The ideal candidate(s)
will have a research record articulating with one of the traditional social
science or policy fields, developed interests in one or more policy areas
(for example, energy, water, sustainability, international development, or
environmental justice) and plans for, or a record of, securing external
research funding.   Strongest applicants will demonstrate an ability to
teach methods such as geospatial, survey, or qualitative methods.  Teaching
load (typically 2 per semester) includes undergraduate courses in her/his
social sciences disciplines, plus teaching, advising and directing graduate
students.  These are tenure track positions at the Assistant and/or
Associate Professor level, to begin August 2011.  Ph.D. required. Michigan
