Hi Lorraine,

I wrote a term paper in 2002 on the UNEP and created an 'organogram' for the
purpose. Its much dated but, hopefully, its better than nothing.

Please see attached.

Subject: [gep-ed] UN environment organogram?

Dear all

I know I should know where to find this but time is tight, I'm away from my
office without access to my books and so I'm turning to you. I need an
'organogram' or some kind of organisational diagram that provides an
overview of 'environment' within the UN system - key
institutions/conventions/multilateral funds/agencies etc. The ones that I've
found on the UNEP website relate only to UNEP and the ones from the UN.org
site refer to the UN as a whole and don't seem to be environment specific.
And the UN Yearbook, which I thought might have been a good source, stops in
2005.

I don't mind if the diagram is complex - indeed, that's one of the things I
want to convey - I'm writing a chapter focusing on the environment for a
book on the history Australia's involvement with the UN and I want to convey
the fact that the UN itself is complex when it comes to the environment.

Cheers
Lorraine
