Description (from link below): “PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), intends to competitively award a contract entitled ¿Social Indicators in the Coastal Alaska Arctic Communities.¿ The BOEMRE, Procurement Operations Branch, is the contracting office for this procurement and the resultant contract administration. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) in order to receive Government contracts. The Government intends to award a cost reimbursement plus fixed fee type contract for the effort described herein. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 541620 ¿ Environmental Consulting Services. The contractor must be capable of performing all of the tasks described in the subsequent Request for Proposal (RFP). The period of performance of the resultant contract is anticipated to include a 15-month base period and an 18-month option period, totaling 33 months if the option is exercised .

 

BACKGROUND:  The Bureau of Ocean Energy Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) is the federal administrative agency created both to conduct OCS lease sales and to monitor and mitigate adverse impacts that might be associated with offshore resource development. The BOEMRE environmental studies program provides information needed to predict, assess, and manage impacts from offshore energy and marine mineral exploration, development, and production activities on human, marine, and coastal environments.
