Warmly, Kelly Kelly Sims Gallagher Associate Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy The Fletcher School | Tufts University http://sites.tufts.edu/ksgallagher/ http://fletcher.tufts.edu/CIERP Assistant or Associate Professor of International Environment and Resource Policy The Fletcher School, established in 1933 as the first graduate school of international affairs in the United States, seeks to fill a full-time, tenure track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in International Environment and Resource Policy beginning in September 2013. The Fletcher School’s faculty is multidisciplinary with an emphasis on international affairs and the global perspective. We prepare Master’s and Doctoral students to use environmental science, policy, economic, business and legal insights to address global and international challenges in the field of natural resources and the environment. The new faculty member will be a member of the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy (CIERP), which is home to a multidisciplinary group of faculty, students and post-doctoral research fellows and visiting scholars. CIERP currently clusters its research within four research programs: (1) Energy, climate, and innovation; (2) Agriculture, forests, and biodiversity; (3) Water and oceans; (4) Sustainable development diplomacy and governance. Special consideration will be given to candidates withresearch interests in freshwater resources, agriculture, forestry, or oceans; environmental policy in developing countries and emerging market economies; or international sustainable development diplomacy and governance. Discipline is open, but we encourage candidates who thrive in a multidisciplinary environment and are familiar with the scientific, technical, policy, and social sciencedimensions of their area. Prior experience as a post-doctoral fellow, in teaching and research, and/or in professional positions will be given preference. The applicant is expected to start a funded research program.
