Quantitative Environmental Social Science, University of Colorado-Boulder

 

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR. The University of Colorado seeks candidates for a position 
of assistant professor with expertise in quantitative environmental social 
science.   We seek candidates with research focused broadly on the well-being 
and sustainability of human populations and/or the sustainable use and 
maintenance of ecological communities.  The topical research focus areas for 
this position are broad and could include (but are not limited to) valuation of 
ecosystem services, natural resource governance, food security, and 
environmental health and justice issues.  Candidates should have experience 
with quantitative social science research methodologies and a clear research 
plan to continue or expand these efforts at CU Boulder. Candidates from 
Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Anthropology, Public 
Affairs, Health Sciences, and related fields are encouraged to apply.

 

The candidate will have a primary appointment in the Environmental Studies 
program (ENVS) at CU-Boulder.  The ENVS program is a dynamic, internationally 
recognized program with over 25 faculty, 55 graduate students, and over 1000 
undergraduate majors (http://envs.colorado.edu/about/).
