Dear Colleagues, As some of you may know, I have been working on a book
about the history of drinking water for the past few years. It blessedly,
thankfully, finally has been published. Scientific American has listed it as a
"Recommended Read" for November and Natural History is excerpting it in their
December issue. My ultimate measure of success, however, rests on whether it is
sold in airport bookstores. The book website is at
www.drinkingwaterhistory.com<http://www.drinkingwaterhistory.com>

cheers, -js

p.s. If you are interested in the connection between drinking water and
Hurricane Sandy, via a brief history featuring Aaron Burr, Alexander Hamilton,
and discriminating horses, you may want to check out my recent Op Ed in the
Washington Post.
