Hi Gepers,

I'm looking for one or two snappy, well-written pieces that explain the international state-system and its ability to address global environmental challenges.  It would be great if the article(s) included both a conceptional discussion and an empirical review of key treaty/regime landmarks.  Ideally, I'm seeking non-textbook treatments--articles that may have appeared in venues like the New Yorker, New York Review of Book, etc.--although academic publications are certainly welcome as long as they would grab undergraduates.

I would imagine many of us use such pieces in our classes. Please feel free to suggest book chapters or stand alone articles.  Also, please suggest your own work.

Email me directly and I'll provide a compiled list to the listserv.

Thank you,
Paul
