The Journal for Environmental Studies and Sciences (JESS) is actively seeking a 
Book Review Editor. The Journal, the flagship publication of the Association 
for Environmental Studies and Sciences, is now completing its third successful 
year of production.  JESS, whose website is 
http://link.springer.com/journal/13412, is a quarterly journal produced by the 
international publisher Springer Science+Business Media, and edited by Walter 
Rosenbaum in collaboration with an international Editorial Board.

The Book Review Editor, appointed for a four-year term, has a creative 
opportunity to invite and to select books for review, to commission and to 
write review articles .The Book Editor should be experienced in journal editing 
and publication, professionally active and committed to promoting 
interdisciplinary environmental research, advocacy, and education.

The Journal provides a peer-reviewed, academically rigorous and professionally 
recognized venue for the publication of explicitly interdisciplinary 
environmental research, policy analysis and advocacy, educational discourse and 
other related matters. Contributions are welcome from any discipline or 
combination of disciplines, any vocation or professional affiliation, any 
national, ethnic or cultural background

The Journal includes research articles, research briefs, policy analysis, book 
reviews and review articles, as well as a new ‘Forum’ consisting of commentary, 
op/ed and essay manuscripts. Special Issues and shorter ‘Mini-Symposia,” 
periodically invite Special Editor(s)  to create collections of closely related 
articles—future topics include, for example, the environmental impact of  
Marcellus Shale natural gas ‘fracking,’ and international fisheries management.
