The Department of Political Science in the School of Public and International
Affairs at NC State invites applications for an assistant professor position in
the area of science and technology politics and policy beginning August 16,
2014. We are interested in excellent candidates with expertise in any realm of
science and technology politics and policy—including genetics and politics, the
regulation of emerging technologies, international trade and disputes over
intellectual property and technology, technology and constitutional rights,
etc.The Department of Political Science is housed in the School of Public and
International Affairs in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at North
Carolina State University. It has approximately 600 majors and offers Bachelor
of Arts and Science degrees (for more information, see
http://ps.chass.ncsu.edu/). The School of Public and International Affairs also
houses the Department of Public Administration, the Master of International
Studies Program, the Public Safety Leadership Initiative, and the Leadership in
the Public Sector degree completion program. In addition to the Bachelor’s
degrees, the School offers a Master’s degree in International Studies and
Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Public Administration (for more information, see
