Assistant Professor, International Politics and/or Policy, Ryerson University, 
Department of Politics and Public Administration

The Department of Politics and Public

(http://www.ryerson.ca/politics) in Toronto invites applications for a 
tenure-stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor specializing in 
International Politics and/or Public Policy. The Department particularly 
encourages applicants with research and teaching interests in international 
political economy; international economic and financial governance or 
institutions; and regional specialization in Latin America, Eastern Europe or 
Russia. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a variety of courses 
at the graduate and undergraduate levels, contributing to the Department’s 
full-time undergraduate program in politics and governance; part-time program 
in public administration and governance; and the Masters in Public Policy and 
Administration. Opportunities for teaching and supervision in other 
interdisciplinary Faculty of Arts programs are also possible.

The position will commence August 1, 2014 and is subject to final budgetary 
approval. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. or be close to the completion of a 
Ph.D. in political science, political studies or in a related field. The 
successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of a strong research agenda and 
profile, commitment to high-quality teaching, and the capacity for collegial 
service. Applications should include a letter of application, a curriculum 
vitae, two recent writing samples, results of teaching surveys (or equivalent 
evidence such as a teaching dossier), and the names and contact information 
(e-mail address and telephone numbers) of three referees who may be contacted.
