Job Title: Research Associate OAA#: 2131207 Job Summary: Indiana University has an institutional goal to establish leadership in the field of human dimensions of environmental change – to understand how people think about resource use, how to correct misperceptions, and how to motivate behavioral change. The Attari lab in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University is looking for talented, creative, and motivated research associates who want to make a positive impact on the world, while advancing their careers in this exciting new area of study. We have current openings to work on projects that provide new insights about perceptions of resource use (energy, water, food) and to explore new methods to investigate perceptions and motivations. Individuals with a strong quantitative background in environmental psychology or related fields are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of statistics, in particular survey data analysis is required. Experience with online data collection (such as using Amazon’s Mturk and Qualtrics) is highly desirable. Candidates must be effective working independently and confident leading projects, while also collaborating and assisting the group in its collective goals. We are seeking either post-PhD or post-Masters student to fulfill this position. Candidates should possess exceptional written and oral communication skills.
