the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies at the University of 
Massachusetts Boston is looking to hire a tenured or tenure-track faculty 
member with expertise in global governance and/or human security (a focus on

Job Description:
The Program in Global Governance and Human Security seeks to hire, beginning 
9/1/15, either a tenure-track Assistant Professor or a tenure-track or tenured 
Associate Professor to support its new interdisciplinary doctoral degree. The 
PhD program is part of the Department of Conflict Resolution, Human Security 
and Global Governance, in the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global 
Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston. The faculty member may also 
have teaching and mentoring opportunities in the department's other programs, 
in International Relations and in Conflict Resolution.
Requirements:
We are looking for scholars with expertise in either human security or global 
governance, and welcome applications from those who apply a gender analysis to 
either. We have a preference for candidates with experience mentoring doctoral 
students, and with a track record both of publishing and of attracting 
extramural funding. Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant social science 
discipline, and be comfortable in an interdisciplinary research and teaching 
environment.
