Two graduate student positions available at Colorado State University (M.S. or 
Ph.D) and University of Guelph (M.A. or Ph.D.)

We are recruiting talented graduate students for two-year graduate research 
assistantships at Colorado State University and University of Guelph. Students 
will join a six-person social science research collaboration among Colorado 
State University, University of Guelph, and Duke University. The project will 
focus on the human dimensions of very large marine protected areas and will 
require intensive fieldwork in international, possibly remote, field sites. 
Ideal candidates will have an outstanding academic record; a background in the 
social sciences/policy studies; experience and interest in working in 
international settings; experience applying qualitative social science research 
methods; and excellent writing skills.

One student will be based at Colorado State University (U.S.), working with Dr. 
Rebecca Gruby in the Department of Human Dimensions of Natural Resources. The 
start date is flexible (spring, summer, or fall of 2015).  We will consider 
applications at the M.S. or Ph.D. level for this position, though candidates 
with a master's degree will be given preference. Candidates interested in the

with Dr. Noella Gray in the Department of Geography.  We will consider
