Subject: PostDoc and PhD position in large EU project at SCEUS

For the international research project The Choice for Europe since Maastricht, 
the Salzburg Centre of European Union Studies (SCEUS) invites applications for

a PostDoc and a PhD position (full time, 4 years)

The research project is funded by the European Commission as part of the 
Horizon 2020 programme and studies the politics of fiscal and economic 
integration. Under the lead of the SCEUS, the research project will be executed 
by internationally renown political scientists from 7 European Universities. 
The project builds on the Comparative Political Economy literature and liberal 
intergovernmentalism and analyzes empirically member states' governments' 
preferences for different fiscal and economic integration models.

As an integral part of the SCEUS research team, the successful candidates will 
be responsible for the execution of part of the project’s research, including 
the conduct of semi-structured interviews, the collection of political and 
economic indicators, the quantitative analysis of the data, the coordination of 
the Consortium’s activities, and the writing of reports and research articles. 
The PhD student will produce a dissertation and the PostDoc outstanding 
scholarship related to the project work. The deadline for applications is March 
31 2015.
