Dear Colleagues, A handful of students in EnvStudies here have scored a travel grant to spend a few weeks in Iceland this June on a project they're calling "The Culture of Sustainability: Iceland." They are now looking to expand their list of contacts and interesting-people-to-meet in Iceland around 'environment' and 'sustainability' broadly construed.
If you had advanced undergrads in environmental studies tromping around Iceland for a few weeks in June 2016, who would you want them to meet up with, see, or try to get an appointment with? Shoot any answers you may have to that question to me privately, and I'll compile a list for all you Iceland-Sustainability fans out there. Cheers, Michael Michael F MANIATES Yale-NUS College | Professor of Social Sciences | Chair, Environmental Studies | Faculty Moderator | Associate Editor, Journal of Environmental Studies and Science | http://michaelmaniates.com<http://michaelmaniates.com/> | Senior Visiting Professor of Environmental Studies, Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH, 2011 - 2013 | Professor of Environmental Science and Political Science, Allegheny College, Meadville, PA, 1993 - 2013 | Most people are eagerly groping for some medium, some way in which they can bridge the gap between their morals and their practices. --Saul Alinsky ________________________________ Important: This email is confidential and may be privileged.
