Dear GEP-ED colleagues,

We are in the process of putting together a panel proposal for ISA 2017 in
Baltimore, MD. We have three strong papers on NGO-Government relations and
would like to find two more to make it a full panel. Our current papers
focus on 1) Relations between NGOs and local governments in developing
countries ; 2) Collaborative global governance for human security crises ;
and 3) strategies of indigenous philanthropic foundations in autocratic
states to promote political change through empowering local communities.

We are hoping to submit until the conference theme “Understanding Change in
World Politics” so it would be best if contributors could relate their
abstracts to this theme:

None of our papers right now focus on environmental cases and it would be
lovely to round out the panel this way.

Do you have a paper that would fit in this panel? If so, please email our
panel chair Catherine Herrold at [email protected].

Best,

Cristina
