We're presenting new data with our partners in China. <http://mailchi.mp/yale/join-us-at-cop23-next-week?e=400f15baf8> View this email in your browser Dear Friends, Next week, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change will host the 2017 annual conference (COP23) in Bonn, Germany, where negotiators, government officials, journalists, and advocates will gather to take the next steps after the Paris Climate Agreement. YPCCC will be there -- and if you're planning to be in Bonn, I'd like to invite you to <https://yale.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=78464048a89f4b58b97123336&id=755a5d408a&e=400f15baf8> join us at our official side event next Friday <https://yale.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=78464048a89f4b58b97123336&id=db6d34921e&e=400f15baf8> . I’ll be presenting findings from our most recent national survey in the United States while our partner Binbin Wang will present results from a parallel national survey we conducted together in China. We’ll compare and contrast the climate change beliefs, risk perceptions, and policy support of the Chinese and American publics, and discuss how these insights can help policy makers and civil society mobilize public will for climate action in both countries. The event is scheduled for Friday, November 10th in the "Bonn Zone," in Rheinaue Park, 1.4 km from the World Conference Center Bonn and the UN Complex, and requires a “Bonn” badge. It will be held from 3–4:30 pm, tentatively assigned to Meeting Room 4 (but the exact meeting room is subject to change by the UNFCCC). The reception will include refreshments for those in attendance. The event is entitled: Comparing and Contrasting Public Opinion about Climate Change in China and the United States. After presenting the key findings, we will host a conversation with several discussants representing the private sector, government, and civil society. If you aren't heading to COP 23, or will be in Bonn but don’t have a badge, please connect with us on Facebook and/or Twitter accounts -- we will be live-tweeting our side event as it happens (9 am Eastern Time on 11/10 – 3 pm local time in Bonn), and will post coverage of the event to both channels. <https://yale.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=78464048a89f4b58b97123336&id=575cbd14ab&e=400f15baf8> Follow us on Facebook <https://yale.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=78464048a89f4b58b97123336&id=248ccd3774&e=400f15baf8> Follow us on Twitter As always, thanks for your interest and support of our work!
