Paolo D’Odorico <https://ourenvironment.berkeley.edu/people/paolo-dodorico> from U.C., Berkeley and myself <https://www.ivm.vu.nl/en/people-new/researchers/department-environmental-policy-analysis/dell-angelo/index.aspx>, would like to co-supervise a postdoctoral researcher through the SESYNC Postdoctoral Fellowship 2018. We are interested in issues related to the *global agrarian transition* such as the *FEW nexus*, *land and water grabbing*, *food security* and *water cooperation and conflict*. The 2 years SESYNC Postdoctoral Fellowship <https://www.sesync.org/opportunities/postdoctoral-fellowship-2019> represents an excellent opportunity for a researcher that wants to deepen their analytical capacity to conduct research on socio-environmental systems, while developing a synergistic but independent and original project. If successful, the candidate will receive an appointment through University of Maryland, be based full time in the SESYNC campus in Annapolis, MD and receive mentoring and supervision from D’Odorico and myself, with possibilities and funds to spend time at ESPM/UC Berkeley <https://ourenvironment.berkeley.edu/> and IVM/VU <https://www.ivm.vu.nl/en/index.aspx> University Amsterdam and engage in the research activities of our team.
