1. According to a recent metric, UC Davis ranks first in the U.S. and third in the world for campus sustainability. The metric is the 2018 UI GreenMetric World University rankings. The New York Times ran an interesting piece on January 31st about the difficulties students at the University of the South faced when they tried to steer Sewanee's very substantial endowment funds in a more sustainable direction, and this on a campus that had a sustainability plan, at least on paper.
