Dear colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to my new paper, which may be of
interest to you - A just alternative to litigation: Applying restorative
justice to climate-related loss and damage
<https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/01436597.2021.1877128>.
It proposes restorative justice as an alternative, non-judicial approach to
addressing loss and damage.
It further (1) argues that existing attribution models can help identify
restorative justice cases, (2) scopes a role for the Warsaw International
Mechanism in process design and preparation, (3) makes a case for truth and
reconciliation conferences, and restitution as part of the restorative
dialogue, and (4) calls for the integration of restorative justice norms
into global climate governance as a pathway for progressing negotiations.
