AidData's Chinese Development Finance Program team is still looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join us for 2-years starting this summer (job description<https://jobs.wm.edu/postings/46489>). Based at William & Mary's Global Research Institute where AidData is housed, the fellow will help build our team's research agenda on the development impacts of Chinese Belt and Road projects in the global South using the high precision spatial and temporal variations now available in our newly released dataset<https://www.aiddata.org/data/aiddatas-global-chinese-development-finance-dataset-version-2-0>. We are ideally looking for a candidate with interest in environmental and international development policy: some GIS skills are required and familiarity with Chinese development finance is a plus. Hi Mike, we made a verbal offer a couple of weeks ago but he decided to go for a tenure track position in his native S Korea! We're back to the drawing board now, interviewing more candidates and aren't really finding very many promising candidates at the moment. Having said that, we're hopeful of finding someone good in the coming days. I wouldn't mind any help you can provide in making another push within our networks, we're now more open minded and flexible about our requirements, so if there's someone with some GIS skills and lots of China/BRI knowhow, we'll take them.
