the
information about the new gerbils and have him talk to the boys about it,
then you can invite all the boys over(or maybe better if you did it one by
one) to your house to handle a gerbil and to tell them about gerbils(just
tell them how fragle they are and that they are living creatures and tell
them how to treat the animals) then decide if(based on how the boys did by
them selves with a gerbil, and how well they listened) you want to sell to
them. Explain your position to the father, I'm sure he will understand and
let you do this. Have fun and good luck! >>
They've handled them before--the problem is that they can't seem to get it
through their heads that their pets (or other's pets) aren't just for their
enjoyment like toys, they need care and gentle handling. My mom was saying
the same thing; to teach them how to care for gerbils and handle them
properly before giving any gerbils to them, but they don't act like they ever
listen or want to listen to me. Especially if just playing with the gerbils
however they want sounds more appealing to them. Telling them that the
gerbils would be taken away if not properly cared for might motivate them a
little, but I don't know for sure. I still feel like I should be at least
90% certain they will be well cared for and not harmed ignorantly (I suppose
you could call it that) by their new owners, especially in this case, knowing
how these boys act. How do you guys decide with total strangers exactly who
gets your pups?
