In cats & dogs with head injuries, like if they've been hit by a car, it's
possible to give them meds to reduce the swelling inside the skull, so it
*might* be helpful to have a vet look at it.

Also, sometimes when the swelling goes down on its own, the animal is able
to balance normally again, so there's probably a good chance that since
he's young, he can recover from this. I had a cat many years ago who was
running from something and hit her head on the shed in the back yard
instead of diving under it, and we found her unconscious next to it. She
woke up pretty quickly, but she was circling and falling over. We kept her
confined, and in a few days, I believe, she was walking normally again. She
was a really cool, small black cat with a bad attitude. I named my black
gerbil with white bracelets & bib "Emma" after her, but it turned out he's
male, so he's an Emmett now. =)

I'm curious about what type of physical therapy you are doing with him,
especially since you say it helps for awhile afterwards?

Best wishes,
