Gina, I'm so glad you did this. If there were a reward for kindness to
animals I'd nominate you. :-) I hope the little gerbil will recover.

You really rescued an animal from a pet shop. Other people who claimed
that actually *bought* ill animals, which teaches the pet shop nothing
and will even encourage them to keep up bad conditions. Even with taking
the little one home for free you did the pet shop a service (I hope they
realised that). But this way it's good for all sides. :-)
So I wish you all the best for the little one and hope everything will
turn out fine.
