While this is good, I would like to point out that even if they have
totally separate bloodlines, this gene could still be present in both
gerbils. I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying it's possible. Although
if your gerbil just has a simple bend, and doesn't curl around in a
corkscrew fashion, it's probably accidental.
