Off course I cannot judge if those people are good gerbil keepers or not,
but I do understand your doubts. And a rule I life after: if I have doubts,
I won't sell my gerbils to anyone! I would not have any rest, asking me if
they would get a good home, etc. You can tell some people everything you
know about gerbils, but in my experience, they often forget it even quicker
than you can tell it!
Just follow your feelings.
