Maybe this will help... my polar fox was creamy or white during
childhood depending on her mood (no, just kidding--she just seemed to
look different now and then) Then by about 3mos she has some slight grey
ticking spread throughout her coat. My silver nutmegs all looked just
like nutmegs when babies, except paler orange (twice I mistook them for
nutmegs!) When they molt they get a LOT of silver ticking, more than a
polar fox.
