Just pointing out that just because they are willing to invest a certain
amount of money, doesn't always mean they are willing to provide the
best care possible for a dog. I have heard of a show doberman who was
bought from someone for probably $1000, but ended up chained up in the
back yard by her owners, so neglected that her collar had grown into her
neck (she was purchased as a youngster and had grown larger than the
collar). Thank goodness the breeder found out about it and was able to
reclaim the dog.
