Male Shaw's jirds are notorious for sleeping on their backs, stretched out
with all 4 paws in the air. Jirds are also very heavy sleepers and people
who don't know about their sleeping preferences get worried that they are
dead. Either that or they are disgusted because male Shaw's are extremely
well endowed in the genital department.

When i had duprasi, they would often sleep upside-down and side-by-side
too.
