I have a 50 gallon heigh tank and I was planning on making a 2nd level.
If you have any ideas on what I should use to make the level and for the
gerbils to climb to get to it please e-mail me.
It would have to be removable so you can clean it out. Perhaps, you can
use lots of cardboard boxes, to create areas to hide and explore. The
boxes on top can be a level and the boxes underneath can be a way to get
to the top level if set up like steps.
A large cookie sheet/ lasagna pan with four broom sticks for legs might
work as a small level. A slanted board or habitrail/sam tubes can be
used to get up there.
A planting rack might be able to fit in the tank. This would already
have levels and the gerbils would be able to jump from level to level.
If you have multiple gerbils be careful territory disputes might occur
with different levels. Only two gerbils should be Ok.
