I may be wrong, but aren't all members of a given litter, fraternal
twins (or triplets, quadruplets, etc.)?

I think what you're wondering is how to tell whether a couple of
siblings are identical twins.  (To which I would answer, "I don't
know... probably an expensive proposition to find out, though!")
