Hi all,
You may recall I introduced myself and my gerbils (total of 9) about 3
weeks ago. Unfortunately, I am not on the list because of too much
mail and too little time to read it, but I'm hoping some of you can
help me with more questions with my gerbils.
I was really hoping one of my females was pregnant with her first
litter ... she would have been due around March 20th. This was the 2nd
time this pair had mated. However, a week ago, they mated again
<sigh>. My other breeding pair keeps mating at about 2 week intervals
and have mated probably 6 or 7 times by now. A couple of days after my
intro to the list, the female had 2 pups. The next day, the pups were
gone. The pair mated on the day of birth and again about a week ago.
I'm beginning to think I won't see any successful litters from these
pairs.
Question 1: Why would this be happening? I've never had this happen
before in previous gerbil breedings.
Question 2: Can I expect to see successful results (litters) from
either or both pairs?

descriptions of my gerbils. I would really like any input or
confirmation on what you think the colors are.
