One can also contact PETA who's headquaters are here where I live in
Virginia. If there is animal abuse they know the proper channels to shut it
down and they have access to provide homes, good ones, for the animals in the
store or shelter. They have been good transporting wildlife back and forth
for me and many times rescueing wild animals that I could not go and get
myself due to the fact I have too many little orphans that need fed some
