Yes. If you breed black to black and select the blackest looking blacks
for the next generation, you will over several generations eliminate all
other genes. You will of course have to cross this line over to another
line of blacks every few generations to avoid excessive in-breeding.

Pure bred animals like this tend to have clearer colour than ones
carrying multiple recessives. There are exceptions. For example, Golden
Agoutis with a single e are brighter than Golden Agoutis homozygous for
E.
