You could breed it to a gerbils that is gg, then if any gerbils pop up that
are not gg you know he isn't a slate. The other option is to see if they do
have any babies that are grey agouti or IC, however it could take awhile I
also had a pair that produced a few slates but did not produce a grey agouti
until their 8th litter.
